My only other option for charging, other than spending thousands on a dedicated level 2 charger with installation, was using a 110V outlet in my garage. Using the 110V outlet only gave me 1-2mi/hr. Though this is a 40amp charger, I set the charging rate to 24A to work with the 30amp dryer outlet that the switch is plugged in to. This increased my charge rate to 11-12mi/hr.
